Senior vice president and chief information officer
As senior vice president and chief information officer of StayWell Health Management, George Ali oversees the delivery and support of all technological needs within the company and participates on the executive team. An industry veteran, George brings more than 35 years of experience deploying and managing technology solutions.
Before joining StayWell Health Management, George served as CIO for Astoundry, an international technology consulting firm based in Houston, TX, where he engaged with WebMD and Sage Software’s practice management groups. He also served as an IT management consultant for Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), providing risk management and metrics management services and vice president of IT for Asurion, a cellular services company providing insurance and roadside assistance to over 10 million subscribers in North America and Korea.
George holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Excelsior College in Albany, NY, and served as a faculty member at the Managed Health Care Fellowship in Seattle, WA and as a business leader on the Data Processing Advisory Committee at North Harris County Community College.
